Criminal Defense and Juvenile Law Attorney for well-established defense consortium in Jefferson and Crook Counties (Madras/Prineville) Oregon. The 22nd Circuit Defenders is now accepting resumes for an Independent Contractor Attorney, handling a mixed caseload of juvenile dependency and delinquency cases, and adult criminal and mental health cases, to start January 1, 2020. Compensation is based on caseload size and case weight, but it is generally expected that Contractor’s practice will primarily focus on this court-appointed caseload, although Contractor would be free to have private practice cases as well. Contractor must have their primary business office located in the county in which they will be practicing (Jefferson County/Madras, Crook County/Prineville). Contractor is responsible for their own expenses, including office space, taxes, bar dues, PLF, health insurance, etc. Experienced Consortium members are available to provide advice and guidance as needed. Please email Resume and Letter of Interest to attorney Jennifer F. Kimble at JenniferFKimble@aol.com. This is an excellent opportunity to move your practice to beautiful Central Oregon, just minutes from great skiing, hiking, golf and the beautiful Cascade Lakes. We are a congenial and diverse group of attorneys who enjoy what we do and love where we live. Although this is an Independent Contractor position, our attorneys collaborate to provide a supportive and mutually beneficial work environment, including mentoring and covering each other’s court calendars when needed. We hope to find someone who enjoys the practice of law and helping our clients and their families as much as we do! Must have experience handling felony and juvenile cases. People from diverse backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
