The City of Sioux Falls Police Department, Animal Control Division is seeking a part-time Animal Control Field Officer Assistant. Hours for the position may vary and will include weekend work. Position will be 28 hours per week. This is a part-time, non-benefitted position. Duties will include setting and monitoring traps for wild and domestic animals, catching & lodging domestic animals, picking up and properly disposing of dead animals as needed and assisting Animal Control Officers with their duties. Experience with hunting and trapping is preferred. Qualified applicants should have a high school diploma or GED certification and must be at least 18 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license. Pre-employment screenings may include, but are not limited to, the following: drug screen, references, driver history, and full criminal background. EOE.
