The Aerospace Engineering Department invites applications at the
level for a tenure-track faculty position beginning August
2020/Fall semester to teach a
broad range of courses in aerospace engineering with primary
responsibility in one or
more of the following areas: aerospace structures, unmanned
systems, astronautics, and aircraft design. A Ph.D., or equivalent
in aerospace engineering or a closely related field by the date of
appointment is required.
Industrial and teaching experience, as well as, a Ph.D. from an
institution and a B.S. degree in Aerospace Engineering are
preferred. A strong interest in
curriculum development, computer-based modeling and analysis,
laboratory development in our B.S. and M.S. programs, pursuing
grants and supervising
student research, and demonstrated ability to provide hands-on
education in a multidisciplinary
environment, as well as excellent oral and written communication
required. Research, consulting, and summer employment in aerospace
available in the local area.
